My philosophy

“We have a secret in this culture, and it’s not that birth is painful.  It’s that women are strong.” – Laure Stavoe Harm

That is my philosophy.  Women are strong.  Stronger than we know.  We hold the power to create and grow life.  And nature designed our bodies perfectly to birth our babies.

  • I believe that birth is an important rite of passage.
  • I believe that birth is a normal, natural process.
  • I believe that every women has the right to be supported through all of her childbearing decisions, free of judgement.
  • I believe that every women should trust and be respected by her caregivers.
  • I believe that healing and empowering birth experiences can heal the world.
  • I believe that women and their birth experiences matter.
  • I believe that every family has the right to be informed about all medical interventions.
  • I believe women are strong and capable of advocating for themselves and making the best choices for themselves and their family
