Learn the skills and techniques you will need to have a practical approach to obtaining the natural birth you are looking for. In this 6 week series I will cover the following topics:
– imagining your ideal birth
– how to best support your laboring partner
– what your body is doing leading up to and during birth, and how you can best support that.
– stages of labor
– relaxation
– comfort measures
– preparing your birth plan
– affirmations
– exploring fears and desires for your birth and family in a supportive environment.
– what you can expect from your birth place
– breastfeeding, newborn care and the postpartum period.

The first set of classes will be starting March 26th – April 30th from 6:00-8:30 pm at the Grand Traverse Commons, in Building 50 in the 2nd floor conference room.
